Montrel's dad, Marcus, was a wide receiver at UL (transferred from LSU) in the early 90s. Montrel would be a good one for Hudspeth to get.

Also, I haven't seen this but I've been away lately. It looks like the Cajuns are in the mix for Madison, Miss., RB Joe Price. He's a speedster with offers from Ole Miss and Miss. State. Would be huge.

I'm equally excited about the possibility of Hud bringing on Ole Miss FB admin ops guy David Saunders. David is a great guy, a heck of a coach and a WHIZ when it comes to getting kids qualified the RIGHT way.

It would be bigger than big to get him away from Ole Miss. He wants to get back on the field coaching, so it could happen. I hear on the defensive side of the ball.

My buddy is a coach at a local highschool and told me this was the fastest highschool back he's seen since he started coaching. (4 years or so)

He also seemed to think that Carter wasn't coming here. Hope he's wrong.

Your buddy might have been right had the pervious staff remained. From my discussions with Carter, the Cajuns are in the final two and Hudspeth hasn't had an in home visit with him yet.

BTW, Montrel will be an all-purpose athlete WR/KR/PR, he won't play running back at the next level.
