BJ said the offer is still there for him until the end of the week most likely.

Carter is not being recruited as a rb/receiver?

Actually they are. Reed will actually start working at the slot and be used possibly in some packages as a RB. Carter was always viewed as a slot guy and kick returner while Reed was more of a hybrid but will likely be used primarily at WR.

I don't understand what question marks you are referring to. The question originally was if he dropped Memphis. On Scout he is high on Memphis and UL, answers that question. Those are his top two. The ESPN site is a class below Scout, esp regarding players we're on. CajunT has mentioned he is probably waiting for another offer as well.

As for the Reed comments, Reed is not a direct replacement but he can be used as a backup plan for that spot if Carter falls through. We can take both.

I thought that both Reed and Carter visited. I think Carter is visiting Memphis this week.

Carter is not visiting Memphis this week, he refused to name the program he is visiting. My guess.....Tulsa!

Look I want Carter here as bad as anyone else, but I would personally rather have Briggs because of his size and speed that would create mismatches.

Carter is a dynamic player no doubt, but I am tired of the local athletes thinking the grass is always greener somewhere else. For all of the local kids like Porter, hollier, Carter, Tatford and anyone else I am forgetting. They will regret missing out on a time when Cajun football becomes relevant. With them being local, they would be treAted like kings by the fan base. Just like Mitchell, DES, delhomme, Stokely and Fenroy.

I'll take an entire roster made up of Mississippi kids if we are winning.

Briggs is in the same position as Carter, he is headed to LSU this weekend. If they offer him a grey-shirt, he will probably take it. The staff will have several other athletes in this weekend that will give them options.
