Western Michigan was 6-6 albeit that one of those wins was vs Nichols State, who I could actually see being left out.

    and

Temple who was 8-4, with wins over UConn and Army. According to one article they were considered for the New Orleans Bowl, but Ohio was chosen instead because of there head to head victory vs Temple a 31-23 victory late in the season.

The others were Northern Illinois who walluped Fresno State, Ohio who was dimantled by Troy, Toledo that lost in the most excited bowl game of the season to FIU last night and Miami (Oh) who will play Middle Tennessee in an upcoming bowl game.

SBC in contrast only had 3 bowl eligible teams and so far is 2-0. We really need to have Middle beat Miami (Oh) to finish the bowl season 3-0 and increase the exposure and respect level of the conference outside of our walls.

Geaux SBC!!!! Next year lets make it 4 bowl teams and one of them be UL in the New Orleans Bowl, if FIU can win the conference their is no reason we can't in 2011.

We are taking this show to "BROADWAY" next year......

Obviously a play on words with what could be our starting QB next year Terrance "Broadway", but yes, maybe he can rename himself Terrance Poydras. How about a compromise with Terrance "Broad Street".

I do believe the band should learn "The Drifters/George Benson's" hit song "On Broadway" in the not to distant future, though.

You guys are naturally assuming that Broadway would automatically be our starting QB next year assuming he's ruled eligible. However, I do not think it is as clear as some will likely think. We have a lot of experience coming back at the position next year along with a nice talent in Gautier to compete in the spring and fall for that spot. I do not think that Broadway is the default #1 going into that period and he's going to have to win a very competitive QB battle to get the job.

I would love to see ATLEAST 40,000 strong UL fans at the New Orleans Bowl next year. BTW we are gonna be 9-3 In Hudspeths first year

I never said that, I did say that I think our band should start practicing "On Broadway" in the upcoming seasons. Reality is before Terrane Broadway leaves UL, he will be a starter, either in 2011 and/or 2012, etc, etc. So whether it happens immediatley or over the course of 2 -3 years, he will start here.

Remeber, I am the one on a previous thread that said that I love what we have returning at QB, Masson, McGuire, Gautier, Hollingsworth and Thomas not to mention Broadway and possibly Billups if he is offered to Redshirt. This position is really deep.

Masson, McGuire and Gautier are all potential starters in D-1 football and have each had varying levels of success, Hollingsworth was a talented HS QB and Thomas has the best arm. But the reality is Broadway is the most highly recruited QB to walk on campus since Jon Van Cleave (granted that did not turn into success, mostly Baldwin's fault) I don't think coaching will be an issue with Broadway.
