2 Committs Larry Pettis & DeShaun McNeal

We just got a Great Present, DeShaun McNeal and Larry Pettis committed to Coach Hudspeth. Coach has lit the fuse and is starting to burn.

I don't think all of us understand how huge these commits really are. These are truly outstanding players. We haven't seen the likes of guys this caliber, potentially, in 20 years with the exception of LaDarius, obviously.. If we land Billups, I might have a mild heart attack. Hudspeth is already doing his thing. My god, I'm stoked.

This kid would certainly be a solid commit as well but we just got Terrance Broadway who was made for this type of system. Billups may think about his decision a bit more with Broadway now coming here from Houston. If he's eligible immediately, I think will give him 3 years to play. That would still allow Billups time to redshirt and develop to get a shot at playing but Broadway is the real deal and SEC caliber.

Personally, I love the commits right now with Peoples, Pettis and McNeal but I think we need Tovell who would be brought in at LB. The kid is big and fast with an attitude and if you watch his video, it shows that's exactly what we've been missing in the interior of our front seven for years. He could be a very important pickup for the future of our defense.

I agree that Billups looks really impressive but i don't think Hud will take anymore QB's in this class. We've got 3 returning QB's with game time experience (McGuire, Masson, Gautier) and a transfer already coming. I know we have some holes on defense and need depth on the offensive line.

Looking at roster now, I wouldn't be surprised if Gauthier split.

I hope he does offer Billups... First it sounds like those Mississippi boys are good together. Second on the YouTube video he sure reminds me of Jake Delhomme... I dont think you can have too many of those kind of players....

Great start Hud.... keep it going... 2011 is going to be a great sports year for the Cajuns..... Seems we are finally moving this program in the right direction.............

I wonder if Gautier could play another position? He is way too talented to be riding the bench. I would hate to see him go to waste.

Guys i am biased, but you guys are gonna love these boys as much as I do. Deshaun doesnt even realize how good he is. He catches everything with his hands, and watch his video, he loves to block. There is a DB at Lafayette HS that still is looking for teeth. This kid is a future NFL receiver. He isnt the kind of kid thats gonna be loud and vocal, he leads by example. I am a very proud Pops today. (thats what he calls me) lol

Larry has an SEC type body right now. He runs precise routes, uses his body to shield defenders, and makes everything seem easy. He is vocal, but in a Rah Rah kinda way. The kind of kid you wanna go to battle with.

Guy will still commit on the spot if he gets offered. The three wanna do something special together. Broadway coming in doesnt affect him at all, this kid thinks he can work hard and win the spot regardless. Stringer will surely visit Guy when they inhome with larry and shaun and i look for him to visit the same weekend the boys do. He canceled a visit to Rice to be available to UL that weekend

Do you think Guither is transferring or he will get beat out by Masson? I will be very surprised if Broadway will be ruled eligible for next season.

Not sure about how the NCAA will work, but it appears Broadways case is stronger than Gerami's
