I am so pumped about the job Coach Hudspeth has been doing. Following recruiting has been fun to watch. I am starting to see 2 and 3 star athletes on the board and in the future expect to see 4 and 5 stars on there as well.

You are 100% correct. I just looked at the recruiting list for UL and it is littered with 3 stars and 2 stars... Stars don't really mean a lot to me but the list of "other schools interested" is what I like.... lsua&m@br, Alabama, So Miss, Memphis, SMU, Baylor, Michigan to name a few...If you keep on fishin in the big hole you are going to catch a keeper or two.........

Just look at Tovell's tape and you will be excited. He is huge and would definitely be a tremendous upgrade in what we have at MLB and possibly OLB. The kid is physical and can go sideline to sideline. This would be the biggest pickup perhaps next to Broadway but the two youngsters from Miss. are no joke and both have tremendous upside. If all of these guys commit, I'd have to say this would be the best class that I've seen as a fan. Some others may have a different opinion but these kids are all a notch above athleticism wise than what we've been bringing in.

Tovell is a very fast and very athletic LB. He attacks the ball and can be as effective with his hand on the ground. Larry and Deshaun are working on him already.

Brooks will be a lock down corner. He is very athletic and could possibly return kicks as well.

Correct, but several of the kids that we've come on to lately and some have even committed like Pettis and McNeal are not ranked. That ranking will likely change soon. If they were still being recruited by bigger schools, their rankings could possibly be higher than they will end up since they are coming here. I would anticipate them being in the 2 star range but possibly 3 star. Broadway was a 4 star QB last year when signing with Houston and considered one of the best dual threat QB's in the country. We've also offered quite a few 3 star guys like the DT Pichon recently and will see where we stand with these guys soon. I would think that we may get some of the 3 star guys this year that we may have lost out on in previous years.

Thanks. Tovell mentioned in his interview that he was going to commit here on his visit. He pretty much made it sound like it was a done deal and just a formality.

I agree and I look forward to his commit as I think he could possibly have the most immediate impact on our team personally. His film is extremely impressive as he is a beast and hits with authority. I don't know if we've had a true 240 pound LB who can move like he can as a freshman. From what I understand, Hud is looking to keep him at LB rather than move him to the DL and I'd love to see that happen.
