Parts of the Mall of Acadiana were evacuated Tuesday night after someone alerted police to a suspicious device. Police located the item in a loading area, outside of the mall between Sears and the food court. Police were still on scene investigating as of 10:00 Tuesday night and no official word on what the item is, though one witness told KATC it appeared that police were focusing on a cart.
