    Default Cajun Women vs SLU

Cajun Women's BB team is leading a pretty good SLU team that we beat earlier in the season as well. At the half we are up 28-24, if we were to win, the Cajuns will be 8-5, for as much greif as we have been giving Coach Rodgers and I have been one of the worst about this, the Cajuns are putting together a pretty nice season so far.

    Geaux Cajuns!!!!

  2. Default Lady Lions Edge Louisiana, 56-52

Southeastern Louisiana used a late run in the second half to defeat the Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team, 56-52, on Tuesday evening at the University Center in Hammond.

    Geaux Cajuns!!!! _
That ends now that conference play is beginning. Their schedule strength is #335 out of 343. Their rpi is #315. They have played one of the 10 weakest non-conference schedules in the country, with 3 of those 7 wins against non-Division 1 opponents (Centenary is still being counted as a D1 school this season, UNO is not). These rankings are going into the SLU game, who had an rpi of #282 and a schedule strength of 329.
The Sun Belt is the 15th ranked rpi conference with only 4 teams besides the Cajuns below #200 in the rpi. Those teams are North Texas, Troy, Monroe and Florida Atlantic. We play 6 games against those schools, only 3 at home. Even conceding that we win these games, that leaves 12 other games against superior opponents. 13-18, a 4 game improvement over last season. If you will watch this team, really see them, you will see that their only saving grace is that they play hard all the time. Not well, just hard. Because they don't play well, they will get whipped by smarter, more organized teams. Those types of teams make up the majority of the Sun Belt Conference.
Enjoy this winning record. It'll be gone soon.
