That was a good article! A definite put up or shut up piece. Speaking of tailgaiting, I did notice a piece done recently for the food network (I think) with one of "our" guys. Has there ever been a piece done in the local paper about tailgaiting at UL games? Just curious.

    &
    2) With LSU playing at home
    &
    3) With a threat of rain

Also, folks tailgating & not going to the game is not unusual. I know of SEC games where this happens all the time, though part of the reason is because tickets are not available. There will be as many people outside the GA - FLA game in Jaxville this weekend as inside.

In light of 20,000 + average crowds and the fact that we leave next Friday for the States from the UK (3 week road trip from Miami - New York via Lafayette) is it advisable for is to get tickets in advance for the Troy State game?

At the moment I anticipate we will drive into Lafayette on the Thursday before the game but arrival may be after box office hours and there is always a chance we may not travel into Louisiana until the Friday

Although we do intend going to the Cajundome on the Friday to see the Ice Gators so would we be able to get football tickets that night?

Does anyone recommend any good tailgating spots for us, we will be trying to find somewhere on the day of course.........

We are going to get a grill when we arrive next week and do the tailgate thing (again) as it adds so much to the day, something that we sadly lack initiative for in the UK......probably something to do with having to avoid rain for most of the year!

    Go Cajuns!

I have been to all UL home games this year and even the game in Ruston against Tech! I have been very impressed with the attendance so far.

I have some worries about the North Texas game though. It being:

    1) On a Friday night (during high school football season)

    2) It being so late, 9pm! (with all the TV breaks the game won't finish till prob 12:30 or later!)

    3) It being on national TV! People will just watch it at home.

With those three things, I have a feeling that not many people will be at the game. The combination of #2 and #3 might hurt the attendance for this game! I will be there no matter what!

With Northside at 9-0 & STM at 8-1 and both undefeated in district........They are going to need a bigger place to play than Northside. How about Cajun Field @ 6:00!!! Sure, there may be a few issues to work out.....but damn, what a double header that would be!!! Gerald Hebert, are you out there?????????
