Maybe a hire for passing game coordinator or something for a young guy to possibly wait for that opportunity for the OC position and let Hud call the shots. It's tough as I'm sure he would like to be able to oversee the day to day operations of the team, especially in his first year but it seems that it would be a logical assumption. _
I agree with much of what you both said, but would word it differently...

Hire the young wiz kid OC mind, but not call the shots, just help him get his staff in order as he is less likely to have the contacts and networking history to pull this off solo...

If there is such a thing as a "young whiz kid" out there. If he's not proven at running an offense somewhere else, how do you know how good he will run ours? I just hope we aren't in a position in feeling we have to settle on a candidate. If there is nobody that we can get, I'd hope that Hud takes over the offense until other candidates are available later.

Experience coordinator could earn up to $ 150,000 base salary.

We won't be able to lure an experienced OC for that. Hudspeth will have to groom an OC himself.

Right. That's about 50K more per year than the Troy coordinator just made.

Chris Snyder is a fully qualified QB whispering "young whiz kid".
