LOUISIANA La. - Louisiana's Lady Cajuns softball program will be offering the newly formed Fall Skills and Drills Camps during the months of November and December at the Ragin' Cajuns Softball Park.

Local area softball players will have three different sessions of the camp to choose from.

The first session will take place Thanksgiving week and will be held Monday-Tuesday, Nov. 22-23. The second and third sessions will be held Monday-Tuesday, Dec. 20-21 & 27-28.

The camps are open to ages seven through seniors in high school. Campers will be divided accordingly into age groups.

All camps will run from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day.

Registration for the Skills and Drills Camp is $100 and limited on a first-paid-first-served basis. Limited numbers will be accepted for all camps.

Each camper needs to bring their own glove, along with a lunch. Water will be provided. Individual bats, catching gear, knee pads and batting gloves are always beneficial, but not required.

Assistant Coach Lacy Prejean developed these camps to ensure proper techniques and mental development for softball talent around the state.

"These camps will provide short courses on techniques and softball strategy during school vacations to provide athletes with the opportunity to develop new skills and fine tune old skills for the upcoming season" stated Prejean.

Camp instructors will include the Lady Cajuns softball coaches and team members.
