He has always had a great personallity and the kids seem to like him? Is it possible he will be retained? I hope so he is a great guy and a good coach!

Parrot reported earlier in the week that he would not be retained.
I have no idea if this is true or not, but an unreliable source told me he may have applied for the open Head Coaching position at Lafayette High. Can anyone confirm?
How long does it take to gwet a teaching certificate? That would be a nice move for Lafayette high. Is it possible he would end up back at McNeese, or at a Louisiana based Southland Conference school?
I know Gerald Broussard and he is a nice guy. However this is Coach Hud's team and he needs his people. When you become a football coach you know you will be fired and hired many times over. I would not expect any holdovers from the old staff....
I agree Gerald Broussard is a great coach and should have been retained. But as always we (UL) always allow the good ones to get away or we never bring them back. For example Clay Jennings at TCU, did we every consider him for the Head Coaching job or bring him back as a coordinator, Mike Gibson is another he has a large amount of experience and was very solid when he was here. Of course we all know Brian Jenkins who is the Head coach at Bethune Cookman and has won the conf. championship as well as the HBCU National Championship in his first year. Gary Bartel, one of the best recruiters we every had. Hurley brown is another. He did an outstanding job when he was here. There are several others as well. Did we even consider these coaches for the job or reccomend them to the new coach.
Really?? First of all, most of the examples you give are not moves that this administration made, so to act like it is a trend with this administration is simply inaccurate. Secondly, I think it is funny how all of us fans scream we need a new regime for Cajun football, that we need to make changes, that we have to go in a different direction...but the new coach that is hired is expected to keep all of the same staff that had all of the issues. I'm sure everyone of the coaches you named, and many that you did not, are great great people. But I am a coach, and you just know that this happens. When a new guy comes in, and you entrust him with your program, you have to give him the ability to bring in his own people. And sometimes, actually a lot of times, that means letting good people go.
You are correct sir.... For months (for me years) there has been a constant drum beat for change... Not its happened and we get the namzy panzies coming out... Oh Coach X is a real nice guy.. We should keep him... Coach Y really did a good job... we should keep him...
A lot of us know a coach here and there personally. This is a tough business and getting fired goes with the territory. A change was made... For whatever reason the previous regime failed... Start new with all of Coach Hud's people...Clean house
Who is "we" (UL)? If you are asking this question to Walker and Farmer... I don't think you'll get a post on here answering that question from them. As far as staff goes, it is up to the head coach to decide who he wants on his staff. His head is on the block for results.
Who is "we" that you refer to? Was I supposed to contact Hudspeth about my favorite past assistant coaches? Did you? I'm not getting where you think this communication system is supposed to exist. I almost think your tone is criticizing "us" (UL)... whoever that is... for not hiring our old favorite coaches back. Again, who is supposed to have Hud do this? And, as a follow... do you really expect him to listen to whoever advises this? He better take whatever people here say with a grain of salt... or else he's doomed.
The only advice I would have for Coach Hudspeth is that he should have some long candid discussions with BJ Thompson. If I wanted a bridge to the past and the lay of the land of UL football, good and bad, I'd probably want to hear it from a guy like BJ. I'd filter out just about anyone else I can think of.
