Thats an easy stat to remember. Hopefully they can add to it by having a vision of wanting to win the conference.

Well there are teams who have never been to one before but your right that streak is just a black mark on this whole program. How will we ever go on? I'm sure somehow, someway, we may just be able to find the courage to keep trying to meet your level of paper tiger expectations. How does Les Miles' crotch taste?
At the level the program is at currently Conference Championship (but that doesnt mean totally disregard the Out of Conference Opponents like our previous coaching staff and some fans on this board have enjoyed keeping favorable logic in) and the Bowl game will come along with it.
As far as higher conferences (if we ever move out of sunbelt) then the only bowl games more important then conference championships would be the BCS bowls and National Championship games. but that is out of our reach for atleast 20 if not more years.
Thats correct. Bowls mean something more to Boise State than that weak conference championhip. Everybody in America knows they finally play a tough team in the bowl game. Beating OKL in that Bowl game I am sure is their big recruiting tool, not winning their weak conference. For most schools, you are right, the championship means everything. Not too many teams get a chance to play in the big bowl games.
Because in almost every post while you tout your superior knowledge you have facts wrong. You claimed we needed hardware to impress recruits and your statement insinuated that conference championships were the only way to get that not bowls. The fact is the hardware from a bowl game can look just as impressive in the showcase as any other trophy.
Don't cry to me if your statements can't stand up to even cursory scrutiny.
This guy is a tool. First of all, most conference championships result in a bowl. Coaches don't harp about specific bowls as achievement milestones because they wouldn't know which one to claim as a target. Some bowls are purely invites that are as unpredictable as the weather. Of course coaches use the conference championship as the culminating result of the season. Why? Because it centralizes a common mindset. That is all. That does not mean that a program values their result of a conference championship greater that their bowl attendance and/or victory. The two's value (conf champ and/or bowl victory) have no reason to be weighed against each other.
Personally, I'm tired of all of his babble. If it were my own 5 year old, I'd put up with it and probably get some joy out of his curious and argumentive mind. But, this guy is not a 5 year old and I'm not related to him. I cannot tolerate this rambling on and on about all the little BS things to argue about. He has a child's mind with no awareness of inferiority.
