_ Big money has totally taken over college athletics and those with the money are steadily putting more and more distance between the haves and the have nots. Without the dollars that come with AQ conference membership, or a generous alumni like Boone Pickins (or both as is the case of OSU), closing the gap has become virtually impossible. This is very disheartening to me. Does the window of opportunity still even exist for schools like UL to ever get on more equal footing with the AQ schools? _

More equal, as long as you are constantly improving. It is not always who has the best and most stuff that wins.
