I would have to think yes. But perhaps it depends on how much he think Desmoreaux has progressed and is ready or not.Originally posted by RaginCajun08
Does anyone think Bustle will rethink his QB strategy now that Sniewski will be transfering?

Swamphound,
How would you rate the recruting class at this point? Do you think that there may still be a few big surprises looming in the balance???
So far i think we have put together a really athletic class. I am looking forward to hopefully seeing some nice linemen on that list soon. I have seen a little film on ulm and i think he might be a steal for us. Also most of the other schools that had been recruiting Hundley from STM have backed away and he would be a really big pick up for us. He is rated as a 3 star recruit on rivals and he could be a real sleeper.
It is difficult to say since I have only seen one (Lennox) of the kids play. Based on what has been written and said about them, I agree with Clutch, in that so far it is a very athletic class. Also, it appears to be a class with a lot of speed. I am a little concerned with the lack of size some of the players have but I would think it is easier to add weight to a player than speedOriginally posted by RedBug58
Swamphound,
How would you rate the recruting class at this point? Do you think that there may still be a few big surprises looming in the balance???What I do like about what our staff is doing (has done) is they look for quality kids and by that I mean ones that will make the grades and stay with the program. We now seem to be at the point where we are trying to add quality depth and players to develop. If any of them come in and win a starting job then that is just icing on the cake but we do not NEED them to do so.
As for the open positions left, I do hope we can add some quality linemen on both sides of the ball. Of course every other school hopes they can do the same.
I think that if we get a few more players for the linemen position on both sides of the ball we'll have a good recruiting class.
Looks like we're up to 22 now. There are only 4 spots left. Who will they be? Who will they be?
Does anyone know how this class ranks so far? Could it be the highest ranking class ever at UL????
Thats is some good questions RedBug, wish someone knew the answers!! Would be nice to crack into the top 40-50 in recruiting this year!!
Saw your wife on the news the other night, told mine, "Hey, thats RedBugs wife"! Told her about the car she thought that was cool!

In the post, "College Cattle Call", it talks about Humble QB Pettiford.
Yet, I don't see his name listed as a commit. Am I missing something? The letters from marquee universities stopped coming. And with most schools having filled a need at quarterback, Pettiford looked to UH. Then the Cougars cooled. Pettiford — considered by recruiters an all-around athlete, not a quarterback — is expected to sign with a junior college or Louisiana-Lafayette today.
