Well his kid missed them so what that mean. Like I said I like the new kids but they are playing major minutes in the loses. I am not going to argue about it. We could be better yes. Could he be doing more yes. This Team is loosing. Players and coaches.

playincajun please keep spreading your knowledge on the inner workings of this team while providing zero examples or details as to why you are so negative towards Marlin. You can complain about him being rude to the players till your blue in the face. It doesn't change the fact that not a single player on this team knows how to step up when a game gets close. I like the effort Ramone gives, but he and the rest of the players on this get shaky every time a game gets close.

How can you blame an 18 point collapse at McNeese on Marlin. Lack of confidence killed us in that game. Ex: Bureau thinks for about 10 minutes on an 8 foot shot and then airballs it. Why not bury the shot without thinking about it? 58% free throw shooting in that game.

Tulane game: How about moronic alleyoop passes that come no where near the player. 50% free throw shooting. How is that Marlin's fault?

It's nobody's fault, and it's everybody's fault. Marlin is not used to losing. In a way, that could be a negative quality when dealing with players playing as poorly as we have.

It could make a bad team worse. I bet Coach Marlin will look back on this year and say he learned alot. Hopefully the players will say the same thing.

    Gotta be patient.

Like I said its all the players. They sub themselves in and out of the game. They call the offense and defense. They call the timeouts when things are going bad. They are all to blame. I guess getting a tech in a tie game was great coaching strategy. At the end of the game today everyone one in the gym knew Randell was not giving up the ball. He was 4-15 and exhausted but hey he only did the same thing 3 possessions in a row. Why get a timeout and correct that. Especially since he did the same thing at Tulane. Thats coaching by kids.

What sucks the most of all the games I have seen and I have seen them all except Tulane and Creighton, I would only say that New Mexico St. had more talent than us. So why are we sitting at 1 win.

    TOTAL FG% 1st Half: 15-36 41.7% 2nd Half: 12-33 36.4% Game: 39.1% DEADB
    3-Pt. FG% 1st Half: 4-9 44.4% 2nd Half: 1-7 14.3% Game: 31.3% REBS
    F Throw % 1st Half: 3-4 75.0% 2nd Half: 12-22 54.5% Game: 57.7% 4

    39%, 31%, 57%

Bad shooting particularly at the line, within 3 feet of the basket. Game lost. Simple as that. Hit 70% of FTs, we have at least 3 more wins this year, maybe 4.

Daigle was tired. His illness is a major drain on him. He is gallant to play as many minutes as he does. Same for Gary. Until we develop more and better guard play, it's what it is. Travis is playing hurt, too.

Lack of mental toughness is still number one issue. You can see it in their eyes and body language. Waiting for the disaster to happen. All we can do is cheer them on and Coach can only try to instill it in them.

You have it or you don't. I'm not sure who on this team has some right now.

Right now the only guys that I think that have it are Thomas, Farrington and Gary.

Regardless of who is tough, those are the ones showing it, IMO.

Randell hit his shot at the end of the game today. We needed to get the ball to the basket and we did that. Why correct what works? To me that play was Marlin learning from one of the poor decisions he has already made (the set up 3 down 1 to McNeese had me scratching my head). However, that poor decision (imo) never has to be made if we play fudamentally sound basketball.

You talk about the offense and defense we call, but how can you blame the scheme when apparently the players don't feel like working hard enough to run the damn thing? How much do you have to be fussed at for standing around before you actually do something? Marlin has made some mistakes this year, but this team did not put forth enough energy to win and they got beat as a result.

If Farrington gets better from the line, he will be a great player next year. He knows how to go up with it and draw a foul. Gary was really impressive today. Not sure why his minutes were so limited.
