I've spoken with several sources close to Edenfield, a native of Clinton, over the past few days. He spent six years (2002-07) as UNA's offensive coordinator under Hudspeth and has ties to Louisiana. I've been told the new coordinators here will make $150K apiece. Some close to Edenfield, who made $91,402.20 this year at Troy, believe he could leave for the type of money that UL could offer.
None of that matters if Campbell accepts the offer. (I've confirmed with my own sources that the OC job has been offered to him.) Also have to consider that Blakeney isn't going to coach forever. Edenfield might stick around Troy with the hope of eventually taking over the program.
Thanks Josh. It will be interesting to see who Mark hires for assistants. Do you have any leads on his selection for a defensive coordinator?
Wow.
Troy's Offensive Coordinator left to become Co-Coordinator here.
As well as a high powered JC head coach left to become a Co-Coordinator.
Me likey.
