Are all Russell proud!!!
Sat in an airplane with a Tulane recruiter last year. I asked him what these kids were looking for. Besides BSC options the most important thing was the free gear they got. Said they love the Nike and UnderArmour stuff. When I said UL was with Russell, he laughed. He said the kids hate that stuff. I called BS, but he insisted most of these kids come from impoverished backgrounds and the type of gear a school has is a big factor in there decision. Oregon's assent was his prime example.
Ahhh the good ole days. You know the best uniforms are the simplest. Oregon's uniforms are god awful. But its what the kids like. Look at Michigan, Penn State, Alabama the big time powers with the uniforms that carry tradition. Now take a step back and tell me what kind of fancy designs they have. None. Penn State's uniforms are so simple. Michigan...well all you have to say is their helmet's have wings. Bama....I really do think next to Michigan, these are the best uniforms out there. The number on the helmet speaks volumes. And it doesn't take a genius to think up these uniforms. Call Under Armour, tell them we want the ole Brian Mitchell look back. Plain Jane Cajuns in white lettering on the front, the color....VERMILLION!!, the helmets should have the script Cajuns on it.
