Quit drinking the special of the day! First, it was this guy never was given the chance at Ole Miss (Orgeron) and now this guy was screwed at Georgia Southern (Sewak). Next thing you will be telling everyone is Monken turned down UL because he is a candidate at Miami or Florida.LOL!!!

I think this points to the fact that this is more about coaching than style of offense. Besides, don't most new hires get at least 3 years (9 in some cases) to turn things around? _

So by saying its more about coaching rather than the offense, why such the defense of the triple option itself? If he's that good of a coach, couldn't he come in and run an offense based on the personnel available? This seems to contradict previous posts that you've made. In my mind, the flexbone option which is what this is by the way, is somewhat similar to the veer. However, I tend to believe that both are somewhat obsolete and if a defense figures the scheme out, the offense it not as equipped to make adjustments and become more balanced. I think the spread offers more chances for the smaller programs to compete with the larger schools and create matchups that they can exploit. It ALL centers around coaching and scheme but I just feel that the flexbone is not what we need.
