I like the Option to give us a great chance of winning and competing and winning against equally talented, or slightly more talented teams. I also think that this style of offense will hurt us in the ability to ever really pull a big upset because any team with a decent talent advantage will shut us down (something that's not necessarily true if we're a pass heavy offense). That said, I'm not as against the Triple Option as some of you, but I'm not sold on Sewak. My problem with him is that he is the CO-Offensive Line Coach. The fact that they don't trust him enough to straight away give him the O-Line coach job sends up a red flag for me. If he's hired, he could prove me wrong and be amazing, but I have him way down my list of candidates.

During the Mike Sewak Era, Russell unfortunately cut ties with GSU after his son Rusty was fired from the coaching staff. In 2006, with the hire of new Head Coach Brian VanGorder, he was reunited with the program. He addressed the team the night before his shocking and sudden death on September 8, 2006

Also had two epic craters in back to back playoff games. Not saying that is terrible. But at a school used to hanging banners they didn't accept it.

True supporters won't drop their support because of the offense we run the ball too much. Winning will keep all those people and bring more. However, people who go strictly for entertainment and are not as passionate as we may stop coming. I just asked the guy I am referring to about this situation one more time. He confirmed my suspicion. If we go to the option, he won't go regardless if we win and win big. Keep in mind he does not lose any sleep over the outcome of our games. He now goes for entertainment and simply does not enjoy watching football that is that unbalanced. Therefore he will find entertainment elsewhere. Again, he probably is an anamoly in regards to his perspective on this.

I am as die hard as they get, but I will not support Sewak, even if he wins. I detest the wishbone/triple option and wing t that much.

Go ahead and call me shortsighted or a bad fan, but I have other things I could do on my weekends.

You sir, are the reason this program can not and will not be successful...we haven't even made a coaching decision and we already have so called "die hards" stating they will not show up if a particular coach is hired or if a particular coach runs a certain type of offense.

It is pretty scary. Several such comments over the past couple of weeks. It's disappointing.
