I think what some people consider an interview is the initial contact from the search firm. But the firm has contacted a number of candidates, do you consider that an interview? I'm sure there are going to be several unexpected interviews, but Deforest and Brewer had not interviewed with Farmer or Walker as of Friday. I expect that will happen in the next few days. IMO

T, I'm sure you could say more. Thanks for being cautious about what you know and what you choose to tell.

I agree. Although I'd love to know EVERYTHING as it is happening, I think some things need to happen in private. CajunT will let us know what is appropriate for release...and the rest we will find out in the end.

It is my opinion that Joe Deforest would be the best for UL. I know a lot of fans are high on Ed Orgeron but I think his character is questionable. Joe Deforest shows a lot more postive character and I think he would be great in recruiting and would be here for the long haul.

Why would we wan someone here for the long haul? At our level hopefully a coach is here no longer than 5-6 years.

Ideal situation, our coach comes in, gets us to a level where we are competing for a Sun Belt title year end and year out. Then he moves on to a much larger school.

We want our coach to be successful here and then move on because someone else wants him.
