Geeze, not you too? C'mon man...

Give Marlin time and he will make Ragin Cajun basketball fun again. It was really an exciting game and we were in it till the very last.

And a few more... I really had a good time accept for the last 4 minutes or so. I realized how nice the Cajundome really is. Man if we could pack that place like the good old days it would be a blast.

Was at the game. Not too much to get excited about other than the effort is there. Not sure where points are going to come from on this team. The guys cannot shoot FT's, so it is not surprising the cannot shoot open jumpers.

I'm sure Daigle, Perez, and Bureau will get hot on occasion to get us some wins, but I do not see us making a big run this year...the shooting is just not good enough.

When I said give him time I was talking about a couple of years. You have to admit he was coaching what he had to the best of their ability. We don't have a lot of talent.

I am not going anywhere and I am not abandoning the program, I will continue to show up at nearly every home game and usually listen to most road games. But I don't think this team beats either one of the last 2 Robert Lee teams. I know a lot has to do with talent and it is down. I like the effort and the way we move on offense, but I don't think our defense is any better and we are turning the ball over way more it seems.

I like Marlin and I have hope he will get this turned around, but this is going to be a long year. It has been many years now since we had a good team. I really hate losing to in state schools also, it hurts a little more.

Agree 100%. Nothing to complain about coaching wise. This team just misses too many open looks.

Not sure how losing to Tulane gets you so upset. We have only beat them twice in our history. I am just glad it was as close as it was today..

I do not see one player on this years squad that would get any run if they were on the 04-05 squad.

I agree that last year's team was better than this version of the Cajuns. I say that without without a coaching aspect to the comment. Last year, we had the SBC player of the year in Tyren Johnson. No one on this team comes close to his production. Although he was inconsistent, Gradnigo at times could get hot and score a few baskets. It is unfortunate he decided to leave because I believe he would have helped this year's team. Seems like we are always looking ahead but next season will be the first year Coach Marlin will really have his team on the court. 5 of the current squad are his recruits, 2 are sophomores brought in by Coach Lee, and five are seniors. Next year, we will have the five mentioned earlier, 4 recruited in early signing, and the two sophomores mentioned earlier. Also, expect us to bring in two freshman in the spring signing period. Therefore 11 of the guys on next year's team will be Coach Marlin's guys and the two sophomores will have been coached more by him than the previous staff. This year's team will likely struggle all year due to personnel limitations. Next year's team may start making us smile at about the time conference play starts. That will have given them enough time to become accustomed to one another. One positive from today was the play of pure freshman JJ Thomas. In only his third game, he was one of the better players on the court. He has gotten better in each game he has played.
