Cayenne as a UL Mascot hahahahha

yea well we did update the costume.... and it looks a lot better than what it use to look like. And Cayenne was all over the game but there were too many people there, it was kind of hard to notice.... There was one time during the pregame that was hilarious, Cayenne and the Cowboy went face to face with each other and Cayenne made fun of the Cowboy and won the "dual." Seriously.... it's not a big deal, leave Cayenne alone, he is our mascot and it's gonna stay that way.... so just deal with it.

yeah I saw that PREGAME..... I could see the cowboy after every score for them I saw his emotion everytime we put up points, where was cayenne? Where was he when we were down 7, 14, and 21 points? Where was he when 3/4 of our fans left?

Cayenne needs to stand out more then he does, and he needs to have more character. This is my opinion, and the opinion of a lot of fans that i know, that is something that you are going to have to deal with as well.

The People who are the mascot do a great job, We as fans do not think a Pepper should be the Mascot of the University. A symbol yes.

No one is bashing the person in the suit. SID a regular here and good friend used to be Cayenne, he did a great job.

Cayenne (the suit) is simply a misrepresentation and any redesign is good money after bad. Although i must say flames down the arm are better than flame down the back.

Even Ken Ardoin once said of Cayenne: "Is this part of our penance on earth?"

This is how cool the pepper is - I don't give a _____ if it won some mascot contest with kids and dorks voting on who has a cute mascot. The real deal - EVERY friend of mine, EVERY old fraternity brother of mine, EVERY UL girl I dated, EVERBODY I know HATES the flaming pepper. Opposing stadiums laugh at the pepper. Cheerleaders I knew a couple of years ago said all they could hear the entire game, was all the sexually explicit things people called the PEPPER. They, themselves even called it sexually explicit things, hint hint. Instead of representing our bad ass name "Ragin' Cajuns" with a flaming cartoon pepper, we need something like a mean ass Crawfish. I mean, you want to talk about unique, What do people around the country think of when they hear South, Cajun Louisiana. Cajuns, Swamps and Bayous and Crawfish. Nobody else has anything close to as cool as that. This mascot isn't going to help our Football Program, but I promise some dancing, cute, flaming pepper thing isn't going to give us any respect either. One more thing, 3rd largest crowd in the 37 year history of Cajun Field and we don't break out every trick in the bag to win and bring a Historic comeback of the UL - McNeese rivalry to Acadiana, WTF! Hundley should quit, I'd be PI#$ED OFF TOO!

Whose brain dead idea was this mascot anyway. Hey I have an idea lets find something we eat and make it our mascot. That way if anyone ever makes fun of it we can eat him and destroy the evidence. We eat our mascot, no wonder everyone makes fun of it we eat him. We grind up our mascot and eat him. I can't believe we eat our mascot. We sprinkle our mascot on everything we eat. We grow our mascot tell him we love him then we eat him. We plant our mascot we fertilize him water him, then we eat him. No wonder I saw him hiding behind D-FENCE he thought we were going to eat him. You know what's worse before we eat him we put him on fire then we eat him. I can't believe we eat our mascot. I want a mascot that eats the opponents a bear or something a Louisiana Black bear. I have never eaten Louisiana Black bear. I wonder if black bear would eat our mascot. Hey, I am in favor of a live 12' bull gator, and I want to see him at all of our home games on a leash.

Now comes a few problems.... who is going to retrieve him so that he can be halter broken, retrieve him from the swamp on game day, and who all will manage the leashes on game day? I know. Poo Poo Broussard and friends.
