Honestly, I'm changing my mind on who i want every day. I'll be pumped up with any of the candidates so far (except crowten if he even is one). I'm gonna let Farmer be the judge on whos the best and i'm gonna sit back and enjoy the ride
Orgeron has the sizzle we all want for this program. There is no question he is the best recruiter UL could ever hope to hire. Besides money, it is a legit question to ask what kind of offense he will run. His offenses at Ole Miss were some of the worst I have ever seen. He also went through two offensive coordinators in his three years.
We should all be excited about this development, but money should not be our only worry here. If he thinks he can run the USC pro offense here at UL, he will fail.
Orgeron is surely creating interest and guarded excitement. But is seems very much still in the air as to whether is upside outweighs his downside, negatives, and concerns.

Ed Orgeron would be a risky hire.
Let's do it.
But I'll be realistic. I thought the same thing about Tim Floyd. Chances are it won't happen, and we'll end up with a qualified guy.

If his contract is loaded with incentives, I guarantee that Ed will still get paid. If Ed meets his incentives, then that means we're winning. And if we start winning, watch the RCAF and the ticket sales take off, which means more $$$ to pay Ed. I love incentive based contracts.
