Now, that is confusing. Not only had the news been that he was interested, it had been "confirmed" that he had been one of the earliest to be interviewed. Is all of that false?

I'm relieved by this peice of information.

Not because I don't think Crowton could be a good hire, and not because I think he's a "bum" like anybody associated with LSU would have you believe...

But because I don't want a hire that polarizes the fanbase. We need to hire a guy that 85%+ of Cajun fans can say "Yeah, I like that." I think any of those other three candidates would be good for UL.

And then everyone can double their current RCAF donations in support of our administration's aggressive BBALL & FBALL hires.

This kind of posturing happens all the time in searches.

No one is ever interested unless they are the ones being hired. OK Nick Saban was the exception, he put his name in every hat he could find.

I agree totally, Turb. He was only interested if he got the job.
