The search committee is so the "Socialist" institution does not abuse your money by hiring whomever they please. As a taxpayer, don't you want to know that people are accountable about how they spend your money, and not hiring their godson or nephew every time there is a job?

You have two different things confused. The search firm used to identify candidates for the next head coach costs 20K.

The search committee for the AD will be local folks, including UL Faculty Rep for Athletics Anita Hazelwood. This won't cost anything.

Not what I was told....but I'll give in to wiser judgement.
I'll do some more research on what I was told, and will comment later.
Not trying to cause a 'rant' rucus...but I was told the same committee that was used to hire the basketball coach, Marlin, was used to research for a AD. And this came from a high authority at UL.....again...I stand down.
