Lord knows I've been hard on Coach Bustle for the last several years and it really was time for him to go, but at the same time I'm a little sad to see him leave. He may not have been the greatest head coach, and he lacked imagination, but he did give his heart and soul to this program and for that he deserves appreciation. He came here after the disaster of Jerry Baldwin and gave us hope and turned things around for a while. He recruited Tyrell Fenroy, without a doubt the most prolific running back the Cajuns have ever had, a worthy successor to the legacy of Brian Mitchell. For the success he did bring I thank him, and I wish him the best in his future endevours. Now, hopefully, we can move forward and we have to trust the UL athletics department and administration to make a wise choice in the hiring of a new head coach (yeah, I know, the thought scares me too).
