    On front page of http://www.dandydon.com/

"I received several emails Sunday asking if I am expecting any changes on the coaching staff and that is a good question. I do believe that there will be at least one change on offense, but not any on defense unless a head coaching job becomes open at a mid-sized 1-A school. If there are any changes I believe it will be the offensive coordinator's position. I have been told that Crowton is a candidate for the UL job."

Interesting potential hires for Defensive coaches if we go with the guy from Georgia Southern....

    D- Coordinator

    D-Line/Recruiting Coordinator

    From the list BOP gave:

    1) Monken -- Outside The Box Hire. Virtually guarantee bowl bid on most years as offense would be hard for SBC members to prepare for. No one knows what is in Johnson's head more than Monken. Took a team built around passing in the tougest conference in FCS and had a nice year including a win over #1 App St.

People forget. Some of the most exciting and productive Cajun football squads almost ran the option exclusively. From Mitchell to Desmo, option football has excelled here.

If you want points, yards, and WINS. Hire Monken.

    2) Crowton -- Most qualified coach interested in the job. Enough said.

    3) Hudspeth -- Proven head coach.

    4) McGee -- Impressive resume. No head coaching experience.

    5) Jenkins -- Would like to see a lttle more resume.

    6) Harper -- Very unimpressive resume until he hired Shannon Dawson to run Hal Mumme's offense at SFA. Dawson may be the guy we want to interview.

The other 3 guys BOP mentioned make me throw up in my mouth a little.

Please NO CROWTON for me he is just not that impressive. He is too old and not hungry enough just trying to draw a pay check. We need a young aggressive coach 35 to say 42 at the oldest looking to move up. Before you say anything I am an old fart 65.

Brian Kelly didn't coach in Cincinnati's BCS game against flordia(i think) last year when he took the ND job

Check out Harper's bio... I always like a guy who has experience & success as DC, particularly when coming from 1AA which is so offense-heavy:

I'm told Orgeron was already approached, but salary demands were far too high. So that's that

I'm betting that Orgeron is, shall we say, too 'flamboyant' for the current admin.
