I think I was sitting near you for that one. I think the best part was that our crew of Cajun fans completely overwhelmed the home crowd. I couldn't talk for two days after that and I totally agree that was the best game of the Bustle era.

Keven Belton "The Hand" reached back and grabbed Jerry Babb's pass in the endzone.

    What a beauty.

The '06 Loss to MT and '07 Loss to McNeese stick out in my mind as maybe not the worst, but the most disappointing losses. Why?

    1) In '06, after starting the way we did against LSU and T A&M, this team seemed to strike fire. We were coming off the close win against FAU on ESPN2, and hopes were riding high for this game. On MT's first possession, our CB (Michael Adams?) picks off a pass and runs it back for a 7-0 lead. Cajun Field was rocking! Then MT dominates the rest of the game.

    2) What sticks out in my mind about McNeese is Coach Bustle, a good guy, yes, acting more like a cheerleader on the sidelines after turnovers and the defense getting owned by McNeese. Merely clapping as the guys come off the field is not going to get the job done. This is probably the game, due to his body language, that I started to lose faith in Coach Bustle. The way that game went, it seems we needed a coach to start jumping player's rears. Maybe that feeling is over-spill from my time on the Cajuns Track team where I wish the head or assistant coaches would have done the same, challenge an athlete's "manhood" every once and a while, but I just didn't really see a ____ed-off Coach Bustle, which is what I thought he should have been with that game.

The Kansas State and Houston wins are the two big victories I remember. Plus, let's not forget the wet, muddy 34-0 shutout against UAB at Cajun Field. I can remember being amongst the student crowd chanting "BUSTLE, BUSTLE" after that game. The conditions and energy of that game were awesome.

I was around too, I think there might be some photographic evidence out there somewhere. The best part was when the UH police started throwing out some of our fans. But they gave up after the go ahead TD. I remember waiting for the team outside the stadium, that was a good time.

We were celebrating in the parking lot afterwards. Some UH students were parked a few spots from us and they were leaving. They weren't pleased with our celebrations of their being beat down. I know they weren't because they told us so in a very aggressive fashion. So, we beat the ____ out of 'em. Good times.
