Great job!!! We now have a “top choice” head coach, so let us “all” get behind him and offer our total heart and soul support. Remember his job will not be easy, we will have some down sides along the way but the sun will shine on UL and the shadows will fall behind….

And that is the type of thinking we need! We can be the best training ground for coaches looking for that "bigger" job; all the while we are creating our own bigger program!

You have to think that the fact that we've had such limited success over the years...and no coach has gone on to coach elsewhere... had to always be a limiting factor in who we could then subsequently attract here. Once Coach HUDSPETH has success (which he will) and is eventually hired away, that more than anything else will help us in our NEXT coaching search. And that will allow us to aoways have a quality pool of candidates to choose from.

Just another reason why this hire was so darn critical!!

JP just wanted to say thanks for all that you do. I have been a critic of the DA's coverage of UL athletics. You have changed that. I know the Gannett model and you will probably move on at some point but I think we all owe you a thanks and support for as long as you are here.

The University of Louisiana will hold a press conference on Monday, December 13 at 10:00am in the Mardi Gras Ballroom of the Cajundome to introduce Mark Hudspeth as the 25th Head Football Coach in school history.
