Everyone needs to get educated on "spread":

    http://smartfootball.blogspot.com/20...d-offense.html
    http://fifthdown.blogs.nytimes.com/2...wildcat-works/

"Spread" is an over-used, over-simplified buzzterm used by announcers, talking heads, and fans alike to describe an offense that isn't a pro-set or flexbone/wishbone.

As long as we put points on the board and W's on our schedule, I don't care what we run or what we call it.

Others are also confirming. Just spoke to ESPN's Joe Schad, who said Hudspeth is the guy.

UPDATE: ESPN's Joe Schad tweets just before 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon: "Lousiana-Lafayette's new football coach is Mark Hudspeth."

Courtesy of Joshua Parrott of the Monroe Daily Advertiser, here's a look at what the Ragin' Cajuns offense might look like under Hudspeth.

    -Albert Lin, ESPN
I just post that because I didnt realize Josh drove from Monroe to go to all the Cajun games
