Most of these years, we were nearly 50/50 in run/pass play calls with the exception of '05, '06, '07, and '08.
In these years, we were at 65/35 run/pass or higher.
You'll notice that 3 of these years were the most productive in the Bustle era with the exception of 2006. That is the year that for whatever reason, Babb did not run as much as we all thought he should have.
This just furthers the point of the Spread is really a run oriented offense. It is really a form of option football. When Urban Meyer was hired at Bowling Green, one of the first people he went to for help was to none other than Paul Johnson.
This matters because if you try to "tweak" the offense in the passing direction, you had better have an excellent passing QB on hand.

We will run the same offense if Hudspeth is hired. If so, let's hope we can find another Desmo or Babb. To be successful with this offense, you had better have a stud QB that is not afraid to get dirty.
