this is kinda hard--but i have known mark for a long time. ask his ex-wife amy about his character. there is a group of us that have kept up with each other for years and all of us have deep concerns for mark. his place needs to be as close to his kids as he can be. NOW here is a coach who will get it done and has been a winner everywhere he has been--STEVE CAMPBELL, MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE. he was the head coach at delta state when they won the d-ll national championship. he has coached at mtsu and miss state, and was also at nicholls state. you can bet he would be a great choice. is if Hudspeth was to take the UL job this week, and then Mullen takes the Miami job next week. Hudspeth was to then throw his name right back in the mix for the HC position at Miss St. or a top assistant job at Miami.

With the news today of Meyer retiring again, I can gurantee you that Mullen will be at the top of that list.

As long as Mullen has a legit shot to get the head job at Florida, I can't see Hudspeth making a move now if he has a chance to be the OC or top assisstant at Florida, making way more than we could ever pay him.

From there, it is a lot easier to land an SEC head job than it would be from here. Almost impossible from here, and Hudspeth must be running this through his mind right now.

What happened to Deforest? Or Orgeron? Didn't they narrow it down to like 5 including Hudspeth?

Not necessarily, I've read where Petrino may be a possibility as well.

It sure is a monkey wrench though.
