_ Uh, we do run the spread and when the offense is healthy, had a pretty good offense. As mentioned, we have the receiving threats, we just need to mean streak to come out of the lineman when protecting their QB and paving away for our talented runners. Masson can throw all day and when he's protected is one of the best in the SBC. When he's pressured however, he tends to make his biggest mistakes.

Personally, I am not concerned about our offense regardless of who we bring in. I think the main question has to center on the defense and whether we have a coordinator that will kick them in the nads over and over again to toughen up the middle of that D. That's the only way we will win a conference championship. _

Spot on. Offense will be as good as the OL allows it to be. Behind the kickoff coverage team, they were probably the worst unit we had. The new coach will have to find 7-8 guys who can be counted on to protect whoever our QB is.

I have no ideas for our defense. I was single and still in school the last time I saw a UL defense that was worth a damn.

_ Blake Hollingsworth could shake up the QB situation if he continues to progress. We have a ton of young talent that could adapt to that type of offense easily. _

I didn't mention QB bc in a spread offense you can utilize different skill types at QB.

Hudspeth was to then throw his name right back in the mix for the HC position at Miss St. or a top assistant job at Miami. If h were to leave we then would have egg on our face and have to go right back out and open up the search again. To make matters worst, would some of these guys that are finalist put their name in the hat again or would they feel rejected and not be interested next time around.

If we hire Hudspeth we need to put a huge buyout clause if he were to leave early.

I would imagine that the details that you mention have been firmly discussed if Walker and Farmer are truly interested in hiring him. They know the potential snowball effect of such moves and I have to hope and assume that they would cover that before offering him if it were to come to that. I'm also sure Hudspeth knows by now if he would truly be considered for that position if it were to become open.

Outside of Hudspeth, I'm a bit disappointed at who our finalists "seem" to be. I say that because it is made clear that there are likely candidates who have been interviewed that we may not know about. However, out of Sewak, Viator and Deforest I'm not all that thrilled on hiring either one of them. To me, Hudspeth would be the only one that I'd think would be worth the money we are willing to pay the coach based on previous successes and pedigree.

Didn't Cyprien lie on his resume? If it was a clerical mistake on our part I agree but its hard to fault them if they read a falsified document. Wouldn't you agree?
