You want to win? Hire a flexbone guy. You will be able to utilize the undersized tweener RB/WR types from Louisiana and the undersized QBs who refuse to move to DB. Its a ball control offense that can still hit for big plays, plus it keeps the defense off of the field.
If that is the case I 's politely suggest using those little cartoon icons to express that. Otherwise, unless you are well known to everyone here, plain black and white text comes across as being serious. In the case of this particular discussion it just struck a nerve because we have had that discussion about recruiting to BCS schools versus recruiting to a mid-major many times. Not knowing you meant it tongue in cheek made it look as if we were heading down that road again.
Yes you are right it is great to win with someone else players. But do you know that he has two of the top players in the state already committed. I think we should at least talk to this guy. He has to know something or be doing something right to beat others with someone else players. Several players here I have talked to say that the ragin cajun program was never the same after he left. Do we h=know if he is even interested.
Smartest post you've ever made on here. I like the triple option for UL. But, the wrinkle I would employ is to operate the backfield just below the speed of light and concentrate on the edges. UL has been attempting power football and trying to create time and seams. I would contain the middle and fly to the edges. There is nothing more frustrating to a defense and it opens up numerous possibilities. The undersized and overlooked RB/WR/QB with special athleticism and quickness are the keys to success at UL. I can actually see some of our current personnel fitting into it nicely. The recruiting mechanism to bring the next Trindon Holliday to UL is to prove to the kid that he will be the focal point of the scheme. The 100 meter dash is the same wherever you go. He screwed up and so did UL.
Here is a list with a couple names I haven't seen anyone mention yet:
Louisiana Head Coach Candidates
I saw last night on KLFY that Oklahoma State Offensive Coordinator Dana Holgorson was a possible candidate but haven't heard that much anywhere else. Anyone know if he is actually interested or if there is any truth behind this?
