Whatever happened to Dennis Franchione? Where is coaching today?

I could almost buy each of your posts independently... but when I look at them together... it tends to invalidate your opinion in both cases. _
Well with any victory I will give the opponent the credit they did what they had to do to win. If you don't feel that way fine its your opinion I have mine so we will just agree to disagree. I don't know whether he is running the system or not he is involved in it in some capacity and their offense does suck or least just say they are very inconsistant. Crowton just doesn't impress me either as an OC or when he was a HC. I never said MSU was fabulous for having beat UL just making a point that they earned the victory in my opinion. LSU as an overall team doesn't suck just their offense. In my opinion if they had any kind of consistant QB play they would be 11-1 or even 12-0. One post doesn't have anything to do with the other post I was responding to them individually not as a whole. You can buy them or not I really don't care. At least McNeese scored a TD against LSU which UL has never done in its history against LSU. By the way for years UL fans hung their hat on a victory against Texas A&M just like McNeese hungs their hat on their victory against us in 2007 so maybe some fans shouldn't be too critical.

Gunter Brewer has had a lot of success. He would probably hire a Homeboy with HC experience for DC. He has a staff lined up of his choices. Coaches that have lots of recruiting experience, along with organizing at HC. May not have any ULL connection. Will need to pay good bucks for a DC, as he is strictly O. Do any of you watch OSU football?

Gunter Brewer is being overlooked by Cajun fans because they just don't know enough about him. He has a excellent reputation as a recruiter and his resume is solid. Brewer will get a interview if he agrees to do so soon.

Well, how about someone explain why he is such a good candidate. Then, we can all know why he would make a good head coach. I read his bio on OK State's site and I see many good players were coached by him as a position coach. He was co-off coord, which sounds like he couldn't handle the job by himself, and now he's back to position coach this year, which looks like a demotion to me. Why would he make a good HC? Not trying to be negative on the guy, I just want to be able to see why some of these guys deserve to be a head coach for UL, when there is no way they would be HC anywhere else, not with the experience they currently have.

Don't know him that well, but his rep is that he is a smart cookie and wants to be a HC. Not all good OCs want that job. He has been in the final go for other HC jobs. He is not a big name, as he is young, but think he is making inroads at OSU. He needs a good agent to get his name out there. He is smart enough to line up La guys for his staff. Those are the guys that do the leg work. The Cajuns are a little different group, and not all coaches fit. If a HC is hired who is against having a beer or two due to religion, it adds difficulty with the fans.

Legitimate question, perhaps the OSU poster can shed more light on it. Dana Holgorsen became available after Leach was fired, but OSU's offense was fine over the previous two seasons before Dez Bryant was suspended. Brewer can recruit and that will be huge in moving this program forward in my opinion.

Brewer has the resume to do the job, I don't know if he is a fit. But then again, Coach Marlin is not a party man either and I have no doubt that he will get the job done.

So if say Louisiana College got Nick Saban to be their head coach they would all of a sudden be able to get BCS type talent. _
Dude, Helen Fricken Keller could recruit a top 10 class to Ohio State. Think about what your typing before you post it.

I want either Hudspeth or Brewer. We do not need to look any further than those two candidates.

For one Brewer was the OC at OSU and his offenses were very balanced averaging around 180 yards per game on the ground and around 200+ yards per game in the air. He ran multiple sets including some from under center and has had some really great players.

He can recruit the triangle that starts at Dallas goes down to Houston and across Louisiana to New Orleans. If he could recruit successfully in that region we would be bowl bound nearly every year. IMO

You are right she probably could but I know you couldn't.

Obviously you don't know Cajun4life, then. You might want to check out his tenure on this board and his rating before you get all pis$y just because he pointed out an obvious flaw in your logic.
