A brave few with sales ads in their hand. Shoppers say they're not just here for the deals but the shopping experience.
A lone generator buzzes at Best Buy; follow its cord and it leads you to the first tent set-up outside the doors.
"If I'm going to be first in line," Blake Sparrow said, "I'm going to do it right."
Sparrow and his friends set-up a tent- complete with beds, some snacks and an X-Box to keep them busy while they wait.
"I had to be legit with it." Sparrow says, "so I went all out."
Sparrow says he's there for the experience. Recalling the line last year, going all the way around the building. This year, he's first in line.
Across the street at Toys R Us, David LeBlanc and Mindy Burke play a game of Yahtzee while they wait for the store's 10 PM doorbuster.
"It's more the strategy." LeBlanc says, "getting there early, not dealing with the crowds."
They say it's the deals that bring them out. With some stores selling items at half-off, LeBlanc says it's a great time to shop for gifts and for yourself.
"You kind of have full advantage of everything in the store," LeBlanc said.
