Ragin' Cajun Softball Banquet -- Olympic Style -- get your tickets now!

Hello Ragin' Cajuns Softball Fans!! Softball season is almost upon us and one of the most successful athletic programs on campus needs your help. We are grateful for all that this community continues to do to support our team.

We have planned a banquet to honor the softball team and raise money at the same time.

Leah O’Brien Amico, 3 time Olympic Gold Medalist and former NCAA All-American will be the featured guest speaker at the banquet for our Ragin’ Cajuns Softball fundraiser and auction this year.

All proceeds from this banquet will benefit the Ragin’ Cajuns Softball team for expenses throughout the year such as travel, equipment and supplies.

Tickets will be $40.00 per person and $320 for an eight-person table. We have 23 players this year and one player will be seated at one of 23 tables for the event. So buy your table early and request one of the players for your table. Fans are encouraged to invite friends to join you and a player at a table.

Please encourage local businesses to purchase tables to be donate to local softball teams. All donations are tax deductible.

Robert Harris, the voice of the Ragin’ Cajuns Softball, will be the master of ceremonies and auctioneer. Tiffany Harris is the chairperson for the auction and auction items are needed. Anyone interested in donating items to the auction can e-mail her at tharris@fostermarketing.com or call at 337-278-1097.

Amico to speak at UL softball benefit banquet

LOUISIANA La. — Former Arizona All-American and three-time Olympic gold medalist Leah O’Brien Amico will be the guest speaker at a banquet to benefit the UL Lafayette softball program at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10 at the Hotel Acadiana.

Tickets will be $40 per person with eight per table. One Cajun softball player will be at each table.
