_ It was reported on KPLC TV in Lake Charles that Matt Viator had interviewed for the UL job. They could not contact the AD or Coach Viator for confirmation but they said that this information came from sources inside the McNeese Athletic Department. Turbine do you know anything about him being interviewed??? _

It was mentioned on Jay's show yesterday that the AD's were interviewing him in Lake Charles yesterday. Most likely because he asked for an interview and he's right next door.

The more I think about this interview the more I like it. I have always thought of Viator as a good coach and lets face it he has proved that he can beat us and have a better team with a lot less resources. To me that is a sign of a good coach.

Maybe so .. But lets face it - we are not going to get a top asst from a big time program with the little money we are offering and as I stated before Viator has proved that he can build a better program than we have with a lot less resources and we can afford him and we can ____ of the folks in Lake Charles .. Seems like a win win win win situation...

Personally I don't think the other coaches are any better. Yes they are coming from BCS programs but that does not make them a better coach.

If Sewak did not have ties to Scott Farmer would he be a serious candidate.

If DeForest was not an UL alum would he be a serious cadidate.

Hudspeth as spent less time in the D1 ranks as an OC or HC than Viator.

Hudspeth is a better candidate than Viator. Better record as a head coach. Just better.
