    Ok. However, Batiste is not a very talented player. He's large but not very athletic and coaching or lack thereof doesn't have as much to do with him not helping as it does with his lack of talent. However, I've stated that I thought that was Lee's biggest issue and that is his lack of player development. Bureau, Gradnigo, Daigle etc..were talented players but truly never got a lot better in their time and you could argue that Bureau and Gradnigo truly regressed as they got older rather than progressed.

    I agree with the coaching part, but I think it was mostly a recruiting deficiency. Although the players you named were/are quality talents, there just were not enough of them considering the period of time Coach Lee was here.

    Robert Lee was able to recruit people from the JUCO and transfer ranks who were supposed to be talented players on the court; too many of them turned into busts from a performance or chemistry standpoint. The interesting question is going to be if that will be different with Coach Marlin running the program. His track record at SHSU has me thinking that the answer will be "yes"...
