Not so much. I just know how one particular coach acts, speaks, and treats their players. I noticed alot of people on here seem to be blind to that particular coaches actions. Considering the easy release from the AD, I'd say she "spilt the beans" to the him about that particular coach.

Be on the lookout for Brignac's younger sister to end up somewhere besides UL, most likely LSU. Old Man Brignac aint too happy with the Lotief's either. _
The younger Brignac may very well play for another program, but I doubt seriously it will be LSU considering how he feels about the current coach.

The striking contrast of the final decision on transfer releases resting with the head coach at LSU and supposedly the AD at UL is not going totally unnoticed, at least not by me.

Fact is the Lotief's should be applauded for not being mean spirited.

They are never mean spirited. They just like for these matters to die quickly. It's better for recruiting.

No I was thinking about the transfer of Courtney Hollier and how she has to ride the bench for a year.

Whereas the Lotief's could have ended Donna's carreer if they were that mean spirited. They are not.

I suspect the Lotief's built up the players confidence and an ego to match and it exploded. Of course I am just speculating wildly.

If what you say is correct, then why wouldn't everyone on the team be looking to get out? I can't imagine that so many young women would put up with that kind of abuse if it indeed happened on a regular basis. I guess some can handle a little more toughness than others.

I choose not to speculate. Instead I wish Donna well on her future endeavors and thank her for the contributions she has made to Ragin' Cajun softball.

I think we need to remember that our student-athletes are at a major crossroads in their their lives at this time and quite often we as fans can be overly critical and judgemental. They are under a great deal of stress trying to balance their studies and athletics. Support them for the things they do for UL.

You can imagine whatever you wish. They are just young adults. Not alot of young adults, at their age, are going to stand up to their coach. Especially if their school is being paid for.

If she "spilt the beans," I would assume the university will look into the so called problems. And if it's as bad as some say, we all should eventually find out.

I remember when I left one company to join another. One person said it was me. Another person said it was my boss. I had my opinion. My boss had his. They survived. I did too.

Didn't UL's AD grant her release? Maybe the Lotief's wouldn't grant her release and she went to the AD.

I didn't like the way Yvette handled the Hollier situation, but LSU's AD could have released her and did not.

Decisions are made on a multitude of factors. Not just my scholarship got cut, or I don't like the coach, or I'm not going to play as much, or I am going to be pitched too much. I wouldn't look for just one reason and I don't think this decision was made on one reason.

Best of luck Donna. If anyone is a tough competitor, she is. And I think that softball team is full of tough competitors.
