There is no doubt that if he stays healthy, in 2 years Babb will be eyeing Bryan Mitchell's #2 spot.

Babb only has to average approx 108 yards passing per game for the rest of his carear to get to the #2 spot.

To get to Jake he has to average approx 238 yards passing per game.

to pass Roy Henry this season Jerry would need to avg 341 yards passing per game over the last 5 games. Not impossible but that would be very tough. I look for him to move into 4th place early next season and finish 2005 in 2nd place all-time, barring injury.

It still amazes me that Van Cleave is out #3 passer in history. I will leave it at that.

    RaginCajun08,

It amazes me too. It amazes me because of the years that he was here, we didn't have the best of teams, and he wasn't the most favorite of UL quarterbacks. It doesn't amaze me because of the competition we have on a regular basis. (Not sayin that we won't move up the food chain, but at this point, our competition is not that good either).

Anyhoo, it's crazy how much of a spread there is from #5 to #4, and #2 to #1. Even more amazing is the spread from #10 to #1. Goes to show how good Jake is, and also goes to show how much potential Babb has.

    Geaux UL Ragin Cajuns!

Geaux Babb Geaux!! Wish the team well this weekend and the remainder of the season! With a win in Idaho the usual largest crowd of the year for Cajun fans in Homecoming should be over 27,000+!!!

It only goes to show that stats don't mean squat when it comes to quarterbacking, only wins and loses. Also coming up big in big situations is what seperates the boys from the men. Roy Henry, Brian, and Jake were those types of quarterbacks, and I think to a lesser extent so is Jerry is as well. He has a little less talent to work with. Jon Van Cleave had very little talent to work with, he came though in big situations but the overall team was so bad it is hard to evaluate him.
