as someone who was not old enough to witness the shipley years this is my favorite year of ragin cajun basketball. The most explosive cajun offense I'VE ever seen. It was Robert Lee's first year.

WOW! What a great video! I don't know who made that one but what a great job!
That year was the most fun i've ever had as a Cajun fan in any sport. What that group of guys would do on a nightly basis in the Dome was really incredible. Too bad we couldn't hang on to our lead against Louisville in the NCAA tourney because we could have gone really deep. Louisville came out 2nd that year and I honestly thought we were the better basketball team that game.
Dunk you very much!

Mitchell, Green, Hamilton, Cameron, that was an awesome time. I didn't miss a game, I was in top heckling form. The student section was rolling. I remember a few games that were just ridiculous with D. Mitchell dunks. I hope we see more of that. The players always looked like they were having fun on the court, I didn't see that in the last few years of coach lee. Here's to a new era.
Don't forget about Wade. He was deadly from the three. Not to mention he and Mitchell seemed to always hook up for alley oops. I remember going to every game that year and just remembering there being an average of 2 or 3 alley oops a game. and like 5 dunks. man, that was such a fun year
Mitchell's dunk at the end of that championship game is still one of my favorite Cajun sports moments. We had Sweet 16 talent on that team.
Ok, maybe not 15 that NMSU team is good.
Oh man, that brings back some memories. Nothing quite like high-flying Adam James basketball.
Though my favorite moment in that video is Ross's block against the backboard.
