You look at Hudspeth and see passing game coordinator but he was an extremely successful head coach and took the job at Miss St to get a head coaching job in D1

Plus he built the program that Terry Bowden is living off of right now.The other thing I like is that he is seeing what it takes to build a program at Mississippi State.

    Leavitt or hudspeth.

I'm sure there's plenty of other great one's, but these are my early choices!

I'm good with that, would not want to play against him every year

I would still make him our best offer. What is everyone's take on Tommy Bowden? He had tremendous success at Tulane and while not dominant at Clemson they did consistently win. I'm not saying he's my top choice, but it is definitely something to consider. Wouldn't mind seing Leavitt either.

    Hudspeth, Harper or Leavitt.

Orgeron would be so off the beaten path it isn't even funny. It would be hilarious to see him work with this school. Coming off the field after 3 and out under Rickey would be a whole lot different under Ed.

Rickey: (Hand to the helmet - pat, pat) "Good effort son... try to move only after the snap next time... I know you're sore... I'm sorry... get someone to towel your forehead and squirt some cold sweet Gatorade in your parched mouth. Your mom is really sweet and your dad is a pleasure to talk to. Just go on over and sit with your loyal and loving teammates... love you... you're such a sweet little guy."

Ed: (Hand to the helmet - Crack!) "Get off my bleeping field you big fat maggot! I should beat you like a bleeping bad habit you babified little momma's boy! Wake up! I didn't hit you that hard you little bleeping son of a bleep! Drag this tub of bleep out of my sight!" (In an incoherent accent of course)

With Orgeron you would need subtitles to understand interviews BUT he is intense and he would recruit extremely well. Why not have a Cajun coach the Cajuns?

I think I might like being off the beaten path for a change. I'm tired of this well worn path we've been on.

I think he would be somewhat too risky of a choice. Sure, he had success as a head coach for North Alabama, but they are div II and that is far from FBS. If we go for a coach that has head coaching experience, I think at least FCS is needed. Even in FCS though, there isn't anyone that really stands out being super successful.

Agreed, let's not embarrass the University like Ole Miss did by hiring Bebe.
