Thread: Be afraid, be very, very afraid

  1. Default

Afraid,we are not. Out of 117 teams in 1A Tech is ranked 89th and UL is ranked 95th. I don't think anyone would be afraid of Tech or UL. What you can be sure of is that our young men will not be afraid to play a hell of a game against Tech. Anytime you would like to come and watch UL practice I would be glad to introduce you to the team and you can express your negative thoughts to them. Lets see who will be afraid then.

I'll let you off the hook and say it was a big win. Why? Because it's always important to win your first game of the season. I've heard more than one coach say that the biggest improvement in a football team happens between Game 1 and Game 2. Therefore, Game 1 is a big win, no matter who you play. And Northwestern is no slouch, either.

Yes nothwestern is a slouch , Yes it was a big win , but ull and quarterback jerry babb and the "defense" will have to play on another level then they've been playing in the past to even have a chance. Latech is a good team with an oustanding Tail back. Should be interesting , it will be a true test for the cajuns and the truth will show one way or another.

I'm giving props to the UL athletic department for updating the depth chart this week. I see no Kwarteng & Jordan Jackson. Is anyone else out, and is Lindon not starting anymore?

Our defense is MUCH, MUCH better than last year, and I believe we held you guys to a field goal at your place.

Yes, be very, very afraid. Your only prayer is that we played on a Monday and have to have a quick turn around. But it really won't matter much, will it??

    Gitmo:

tell us what Tech is power houses at? Your women's basketball team won't even make Top 25 preseason and that has been your power recognition. Bring me up to date, what has Tech's Football record been these last 5 years ( for interest only). Now, I know our Football team is not where it should be, but, Its coming, so watch out. Why won't Tech play us HOME & HOME each year. Its good for both schools. Oh, Yeah, when you play us in Ruston, its not a sell out. It is a good rivalry. I guess Tech needs to play money games to survive to pay for all its travel expenses. If Tech is attractive, why can't you sell out your home games. Why won't people from Shreveport travel to see ya'll. Hey, Tech is just like our program, wanting respect. I like the Tech vs Louisiana rivalry,I like Tech, but when people from UP North ( where I am originally from but got smart and move south to live and go to college) get uppity about Tech vs Louisiana, then I get steamed. Let's appreciate each other and play each in every sport . LET'S GET IT ON. Enjoy, the RIVALRY . HAVE FUN.

I doubt telling Tech Fan that we need to "get it on" will do any good. However, I do recall the interview Bil had on his show with the Tech AD and he indicated that he and Nelson were trying to get more games between the schools. I only hope we are successful with this as I still see Tech as our #1 rival. Too much history for anyone (UNT, MT, etc) to bump them down for now.
