Thread: Be afraid, be very, very afraid

UL Football Be afraid, be very, very afraid

We(Tech)will pass it effectively against the Cajuns. IF ULL comes to town expect all Moats all the time, it will get real ugly (yes, uglier than last year). Of course, Moats will still get his 200+, but that is beside the point.

Our defense is MUCH, MUCH better than last year, and I believe we held you guys to a field goal at your place.

Yes, be very, very afraid. Your only prayer is that we played on a Monday and have to have a quick turn around. But it really won't matter much, will it??

    Tech 45
    ULL 13

    Better than a lame team.

Sure got a kick out of the talk of the "big win" last week, against a Div 1AA team!

ULL and ULM should really stick to the other sports, like waterskiing.

Since you put it in quotes, can you show us where a Ragin' Cajun fan called it a "big win"

Gosh, let me stop to admire GITMO20's brilliance...

First he predicts that Tech's defense is "MUCH MUCH better", and yet he still thinks we will score ten more points against them than we did last year. It sounds like he either has more respect for our offense then he lets on, doesn't like their defense as much as he lets on, or he isn't real good with math.

Also, he claims to be from Ruston and Boise at the same time. Unless there's a Boise in Louisiana that I don't know about, those are fairly well separated.

I think I'm going to transfer to LA Tech to study math and geography with some of the brightest minds in the country, like our dear friend GITMO20.

    See you on Saturday, dude.

After reading both your insightful post, I guess we should be afraid

    Gitmo,

I'm not saying we're the cream of the crop, but I think we also are much better than last year. Not only that, but last time I checked, WAC wasn't exactly a power conference either, so your success is not as good as you think it is (translation:your blow-out win against Nevada doesn't scare us as much as you think it does, and it doesn't mean a whole lot for you either. And maybe the only reason why Moats gets so many yards is cuz of the relative weakness of the WAC).

    God Bless.

p.s.- The bigger the ego, the harder they fall.

I'm sorry Turbine, it was not a "big win" vs a Div1-AA opponent, it was a "Huge Win". The tread was started by RaginCajunEQM and you actually contributed!

Jeez, put down the booze for a day or so, it might do your memory wonders.

    Huge Win
    HOW BOUT DEM' CAJUNS !!!!!

I think you will score some points....IN THE 4th QTR against our walk-ons!( which of course would start for the Cajuns).

As far as the geography, I could explain that but since you are a Cajun I am afraid it would be over your head.

    My memory?

I simply asked for your quotable reference so I could see where you were coming from. If I knew the origin on "big game" it might be explainable

You were obviously focusing strictly on the opponent and I didn’t think, but also didn’t want to assume, that the reference was to the “big win” as a reference to the opponent.

I’m not going to defend Northwestern they need no defending; they will be a good team and would have faired very well vs UNLV. Of course that is just opinion, and it is not what made it a huge win.

What made it a huge win is the recent rare opening game wins the program has had, plus getting it in front of 20,000 plus fans with no losses.

It was a huge win as far as getting fans back inthe stands for the next hme game. They left with a win. That is huge.
