Josh, just to clarify. My understanding is that you can play in the spring if you were enrolled in school for the fall semester, but didn't participate in "fall ball".

Yes, you can play in the spring if you were enrolled for school in the fall regardless of participation in fall ball. Boomer asked if anyone can play that "wasn't here for fall ball." I took that as not being on campus, too. The players that sat out fall ball were here and will be fine for the spring.

I was thinking of Jacques de Gruy, who I think was enrolled for the fall but who didn't participate in fall ball. I thought he would be on the spring roster, don't you?

So although listed as 2011 signees, they are for the 2012 season.

de Gruy developed some tenderness in his shoulder at the end of his senior year, so he sat out fall ball. He should be fine this season. A big, young pitcher with good stuff and a lot of potential that ended up here after a coaching change at Tulane over the summer. Barring something unusual, he will be on the spring roster.

All of these players are going to play on their current JUCO teams in the spring. They will come to UL starting the fall of 2011.

When will the actual cuts and who is going where to be announced????? The different options were--make the team, get redshirted, go to a JUCO, just not make the team and stay in school, or go to another 4 year to try and play----anymore options????

Read what Parrot said. The guys who are signing this week will play either HS or JUCO ball this spring at their current schools and will enroll at UL either in the summer or fall and be ready for the 2012 season.
