Do we have enough DBs to play a nickel or dime package? It doesn't sound like it.

Yes. Melvin White, Julian Jones, Seth Guilbeaux and Hunter Thibodaux are healthy reserves. Stokes should make the trip and play even if he doesn't start.

With so many D Linemen hurt and with the difficulty we have in recruiting big D Linemen like the BCS schools do, why are we not playing a 3 - 4 defense? We have more available LBs with speed than we do D Linemen. Many of the BCS schools are going to this defense. I think we alternate during games from a 4-3 to a 3-4. Just wondering why we wouldn't play a 3 D Lineman defense permanently. Just curious.

To run a 3-4 defense you need a HUGE man in the middle. We have not shown the ability to recruit D-line that can play well in a 3-4 system.

Well they don't play well in a 4-3 either and there are fewer of them. We have a 6' 4" 300 lb. nose guard now and several DT at 6' 4" and 290 or better. Why wouldn't that work?

But we don't have 6'4 300lb guys that demand a double team
