Default Finance Prof Says Congress Influenced TARP Payments

Interesting piece under UL Headlines. Linus Wilson says if a credit union was in the district of a member of the House Committee on Financial Services, they were three times more likely to receive TARP funds.

Not at all surprising. TARP was a political program that, even according to MidSouth Bank CEO Rusty Cloutier, simply made protential further problems in our financial markets WORSE by further promoting "Too Big to Fail" within the industry.

    From the LA delegation:

U.S. Reps. Alexander, Boustany, McCrery and Melancon voted YES.

U.S. Reps. Cold Cash Jefferson, Cazayoux and Scalise, along with Senators Landruieu and Vitter, voted NO.

Since then, Landrieu has voted twice AGAINST ending TARP.

Exactly, which is why I noted that since her NO vote on TARP, she has since voted NO on any efforts to end the program before more taxpayer dollars are doled. out.
