Thread: UL Tops ASU on Senior Night

  1. Default UL Tops ASU on Senior Night

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns volleyball team closed out the home portion of its schedule with a crucial 3-1 (25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 25-19) victory over Arkansas State Saturday evening, securing the 10th win of the season inside the friendly confines of Earl K. Long Gym.

I was just looking at the remaining schedule for our VB team. We are currently 15-12 and have 5 regular season matches left and all of them are SBC games.

    Next up:

ULM--0-9 in conference and 0-18 overall last place in the West(should be a win)

FAU--1-8 in conference 10-15 overall and last place in the east (should be a win)

FIU--5-4 in conference and 11-10 overall (tough game, but winnable)

UALR--1-8 in conference and 3-16 overall second to last in the west (should be a win)

ASU--we just beat them, so another winnable match,.

This much maligned team has a chance to finish the season 20-12 and 10-6 in the conference

This team has far exceeded expectations. What's more impressive is the intensity with which they play. It was great to see a victory last night on Senior Night against a very good team. We're proud of you.

I'm just speculating and playing devil's advocate here so don't roast me too bad. Maybe they all left because they were causing a rift in the team's chemistry, and it became obvious they weren't going to get their way.
