    True Dat.

Still the media should never let their customer get caught in a lie. Certainly not an easy to catch, easy to fix one.

In addition to kicking, Stover was a good linebacker in high school and planned to play that position in college as well as kick. His injury occurred early in camp. I had heard a staph infection developed during his rehab and I hope that has improved. I have not heard an update on that situation.

Regarding lifting techniques and strectching, if that has been a problem in the past I hope the new strength and conditioning coach addresses the issue.

The sheer number of injuries in the last couple of years has to be the result of something were doing or not doing in the weight room and in agility and flexibility training. Everyone has injuries, but the rate at which we go down is nuts. I also think that the turf has some impact, but everyone plays the majority of their games on turf these days.

The new strength and conditioning coach identified the issue soon after being hired and has addressed it. Also, apparently the student-athletes had not been going deep enough on their squats, which can create problems. Also has been addressed.

Is that an indictment of our former strength coach? Sounds like it should be. Good luck to Tulane.

It is also possible, if not probable, that simply changing the workout routines during the middle of the year, as opposed to waiting until the end of the season and phasing them in, is to blame for some of these injuries.

Interesting, except the massive injury bug has multiple seasons under its belt.

Right. I think that the cause of a lot of the ACL tears, etc., that we've seen over the past few years, could easily be attributed to a poor program or poor technique, as JP mentioned. What I'm getting at is that a significant portion of the lower body muscular injuries this season (hamstrings, groins, etc) could be a result of an abrupt change in the workout program when the new guy came in.

There's a good chance that I likely could be.
